The Spanish latte runs this city
By the Deja Brew editors · Published 28 Jul 2026 · Amman, Jordan
Ask ten people in Amman for their coffee order and six will say Spanish latte before you finish the question. Espresso, steamed milk, a measure of condensed milk — that's the whole trick. It works here because Jordan has always liked its coffee with sweetness attached; the Spanish latte just gave the habit a smoother landing.
Ours is built to not apologize: a double shot of the house espresso blend (chocolate and caramel by nature, no syrups needed), milk steamed tight, and just enough condensed milk to round the edges — sweet like a good mood, not like a dessert. It became "the usual" for half our regulars without ever being pushed.
Make it yours: ask for it half-sweet if you want the espresso louder, iced from May to October (no judgment in December either), or on oat milk — the condensed milk still does its job. And if you've had five this week, let the bar steer you to a flat white. Growth.
